Meet the team
Tayo Oviosu
Tayo is the Founder, Group CEO, and Executive Chairman of Paga Group Ltd. Tayo’s background and experience is in a variety of technical and business roles in High-tech and Private Equity. Prior to Paga, he was Vice President at Travant Capital Partners where he was responsible for executing the firm’s investment strategy in West Africa.
Prior to joining Travant, Tayo was a Manager, Corporate Development, at Cisco Systems in San Jose California. In that role, he was responsible for strategy, acquisitions, and private equity investments in four technology sectors - Virtual Computing, Application Networking, Security, and Network Management.
Tayo also helped lead Cisco‘s investment expansion in Africa. At Cisco, Tayo led numerous acquisition and private equity investment opportunities, including the $130m acquisition of Reactivity, and investments in Aquantia (10G Base-T, Series A. Acquired by Marvel Technology Group), and Guardium (Database Security, acquired by IBM).
Tayo was also responsible for the private sale of 22% of Cisco‘s South African operations to a consortium of investors in 2007.Prior to Cisco, Tayo was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting in the CRM and Technology practice. At Deloitte, he worked on cases in five industries – high tech, telecom, pharmacy retail, government, and healthcare. He was primarily responsible for leading technical implementation teams.
Tayo also had stints at start-ups Biomorphic VLSI as a Semiconductor Chip Design Engineer and Event411 as a Software Engineer.Tayo earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, cum laude, from the University of Southern California. He also has a Master's in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University.

Prior to Paga, Tayo was Vice-President at Travant Capital Partners, a private equity fund in West Africa. Prior to joining Travant, Tayo was a Manager, Corporate Development, at Cisco Systems in San Jose California.

Jay Alabraba
Jay's business experience spans the technology, pharmaceuticals and financial services sectors. He began his career as a Program Manager at Microsoft in Redmond, Washington, where he led a cross-functional team that received patent awards for work in the anti-piracy and data protection arenas.
In 2004, he accepted a fellowship in Global Marketing at Eli Lilly & Co., a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, managing projects for the company’s Neuroscience drugs units in North America and Europe. Jay joined Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York as an MBA intern in 2006 and continued as a full-time Investment Banking Associate the following year.
He returned to Nigeria in 2009 to manage an investment banking team at BGL Plc. in Lagos and shortly thereafter turned focus to building Pagatech.
Jay is an angel investor and advisor to several startups. He received his Bachelor's degree (cum laude) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and Masters in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University.

Eric Chijioke
Eric Chijioke is a founding partner of Apposit and is responsible for leading the IT and product development for Pagatech.
Eric has 12 years of experience in product development and software product management. Eric has designed and managed the implementation of mid to large scale risk management software systems for clients in the private financial and energy sectors, as well as several similar system development projects for agencies of the World Bank.
Most recently, as Lead Systems Architect for the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Eric led the development of a nationwide, integrated financial management system for public finance in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development in Ethiopia.
